The Miracle League of Dothan announces opening ceremonies for the third season of The Miracle League on Saturday, March 27th at 9:30 a.m. at Rotary Miracle Field located at Westgate Park.  The Miracle League offers  citizens, who face  physical or mental challenges, the opportunity to play baseball in a safe environment  when conventional baseball leagues do not offer an appropriate setting. To assist these athletes, the Miracle League uses a buddy system, pairing players with an able-bodied peer who can help them hit the ball, navigate the bases, and field the ball.  You are invited to come share the courage and joy demonstrated by these  extraordinary baseball players as they begin their third season.

The league has a variety of volunteer opportunities. By giving only a few hours of your time not only will you make a difference in a special child’s life, but you will also create a positive awareness in yourself.

“Every Child Deserves the Chance to Play Baseball”

What is the Miracle League? It is hope, determination, and the display of human spirit that is unequaled. There is something about playing the game that light up a youngster’s eyes. And of course…there’s baseball. The miracle league removes the barriers that keep mentally and physically disabled children off the baseball field.

Every Child Deserves the Chance to Play Ball!
